Toronto Island

About this time of year in Toronto, it starts to get cold, wet and miserable. This year has been different, very different. It is beautiful at the moment. Seeing people walking the streets in shorts and t-shirts, in November, does not say much for global warming, but keeping the dreaded winter at bay is making Torontonians very happy.

With weather like this, it made the perfect opportunity for some exploring. What better place, than Toronto Island.  I had wanted to go to Toronto Island for a final explore before I left Canada and this was the perfect day for it.

As the sun went down, I raced around to different viewpoints before catching the ferry back to the mainland.

It was so quiet and peaceful, and the colours are fantastic. At some points, it is really hard to believe that I was still in Toronto. With the right timing, you can leave the mainland and be away from the hustle and bustle of city life, sat on the beach, listening to waves, in around 30 minutes. I highly recommend a visit.

Have you explored the Island? What did you think ?

And remember to follow my journey 🙂
